Course description
The Pre-Access Health Science programme is designed for adults who wish to progress into healthcare, health science, nursing, midwifery, allied health professions, or further academic study but need to develop your knowledge, skills, and confidence before undertaking an Access to HE Diploma. The course provides a supportive introduction to health science subjects while developing essential study skills for higher-level learning
What can this course lead to?
Course progression
Upon completion, you could progress onto a further course, including:
- Successful completion of this course could potentially enable you to progress onto a Level 3 Counselling Skills Certificate programme or a Level 3 Counselling Skills Diploma.
- The skills gained on this course would complement many roles in both the education and health professions. This course is an important step on the pathway to becoming a fully trained counsellor.
Upon completion, you could progress onto careers, such as:
- Support Worker
- Victim Support Worker
