This taster course will introduce you to counselling and helping skills, and the theory that underpins professional counselling work.
What can this course lead to?
Course progression
Upon completion, you could progress onto a further course, including:
- Level 1 helping courses such as counselling or peer mentoring. To progress to Level 1, you will require at least a Level 1 qualification in English.
Upon completion, you could progress onto careers, such as:
- Support Worker
- Social Worker
- Mental Health Support Worker
- Adult Nursing
- Counsellor
