Course description

This course is aimed at you if you want to progress with learning for health and social care careers, but also need to develop your confidence and resilience for returning to learning.

This three-day course enables you to explore different strategies and tips to help you prepare for further study and qualifications. You will be encouraged to create your own personal 'learning survival kit' to help build the resilience and confidence required for further study and training within the health and social care sector.

Course content

The course explores:

  • Barriers to learning and overcoming these
  • Growth mindset
  • Wellbeing and learning
  • Basic introduction to academic skills, note-taking and research
  • Creating a 'learning survival kit'

What can this course lead to?

Course progression

Upon completion, you could progress onto a further course, including:

  • After completion of the course, students could continue to develop their understanding and skill set by enrolling onto relevant courses to further support their career pathway. Suggested courses:
